Years ago, my grandmother used to walk with me along the lagoon in Walvis Bay so we could count the flamingos. We never got past a hundred before she'd laugh and say there were too many to love properly. I still walk there on quiet evenings, and I still try to count them. I'm Zinhle, 31, Namibian, and I suppose I've always been a bit of a romantic. I'm also a little shy. I blush easily, and I like to take my time getting to know someone. But once I feel comfortable, I'm warm and affectionate, and I give all of myself to the moment.
