Last December, at a friend's owambe in Ikeja, the DJ played my favourite song and I jumped up on a chair to dance. The chair broke. I kept dancing on the floor, the whole party cheered, and somebody's auntie handed me a plate of jollof as a reward. That, in one story, is me. I'm Tolu, a Nigerian woman of 23, born and living in Lagos, and I'm happiest when the music is loud and the people are fun.
