I'm Kiki, thirty-four, originally from Ukraine, and I came to the Maldives for one season of diving that somehow became several years in Hulhumalé, where I've learned the name of every reef fish and enough about the ocean to bore anyone who asks about manta rays, though I'd much rather hear about you, because I'm the kind of woman who wants to know what you read, where you've lived, which city made you feel most alive and which one you'd never return to. I speak Ukrainian, Russian and English, and I love parties where the conversation is as good as the music, nights that start with a sunset on a boat deck and end on a dance floor somewhere, or an intimate villa gathering where everyone knows how to relax.
